Since I Been Down
SINCE I BEEN DOWN is an American story showcasing one city, Tacoma, WA, as an example of “Everytown, USA.” These are stories told through the eyes of a community impacted by the fear-based policies of the 1980’s and ‘90’s that sacrificed and labeled their most-vulnerable children as irredeemable “super predators.” The film unravels intimate stories from interviews brought to life through archival footage, cinema verité discussions, masquerade and dance to cinematically unravel why children commit violent crime, and how these children now adults are breaking free from their fate by creating a model of justice that is transforming their lives, our humanity and a quality of life for all our children.

Women of Faith:
Coping With Trauma
Our inaugural project is Women of Faith: Coping with Trauma. This mental health documentary takes an in-depth look into the lives of four women who are survivors of childhood sexual abuse, but who also triumphantly find joy, hope and peace through their faith in God and their community. We know it is a tough subject, but let’s have the tough conversation so women, children and families can find healing.
Why this topic? Thousands of children of all different ethnicities are sexually abused every year in the United States. The topic is relevant after numerous claims of abuse have recently been in the news - from the #metoo campaign to USA Women's Gymnastics, Boy Scouts of America and the Catholic Church.
