HONORABLE reimagines an actual event that Muhammad Ali describes in his 2004 autobiography as, “one of the mistakes that I regret most in my life.” What if Malcolm’s and Ali’s last encounter didn’t occur at the Ambassador as history recounts, but instead at the private residence of Maya Angelou where these sparring titans agree to a conversation to confront the breach in their brotherhood? Why did Malcolm leave the Nation? Why didn't Ali follow? HONORABLE is a story about the ruin and reconciliation of Malcolm X Shabazz and Muhammad Ali.
